Zuger Innovationstag 2025
Networking is not just a digital trend—it has long been one of the key success factors of our time. What will the networks of tomorrow look like? What makes ecosystems truly effective?
Ecosystems are much more than loose networks – they are dynamic structures in which ideas, talents, technologies, and resources come together. They connect people with missions. They are spaces for innovation and growth.
What do ecosystems look like today and tomorrow? What role does successful networking play in this? How do likes and followers change the perception of influence? And where are digital and analog ecosystems heading in a world of constant change?
«The Future of Eco-Systems – The Impact!»
On September 18, this year's Zug Innovation Day, with the theme “The Future of Ecosystems – The Impact!”, provided a stage for experts to examine the topic from a wide variety of perspectives.
Innovation at the heart of Zug's old town
A wealth of innovation awaited the audience upon their arrival at Zug's Burgbachsaal. The “Innovation Desk: Zug” exhibition offered a wide range of inspiring solutions.
When the lights turned to the stage, the focus shifted to innovations “made in Zug”: SHL Medical AG was awarded the Zug Innovation Prize 2025. The prize, worth CHF 10,000, is awarded by the Government Council of the Canton of Zug and was presented by Silvia Thalmann-Gut, Director of Economic Affairs. Silvia Thalmann-Gut and Albina Begic, Managing Director of the Technology Forum Zug, spoke about the long tradition of the Zug Innovation Award and its importance today. In an exciting short presentation, the winning company SHL Medical AG presented its innovation.
Eco-Systems live
Lara Stalder and Leonardo Genoni from EVZ in conversation with presenter Manuela Kaufmann: two professional ice hockey players warmed the hearts of the audience and built a bridge between business and sport. Prof. Dr. Bernhard Lingens' keynote speech was both cautionary and inspiring, highlighting the importance of innovation ecosystems.
This was followed by dynamic InnoTag sprints, in which companies and organizations presented their views on the topic of the day in 90 seconds each – showcasing many innovative solutions.
The audience also had their say in Zug: in the Thesis Arena, surprising and provocative theses from the audience were discussed by the experts.
After the closing remarks by Zug Mayor André Wicki, the inspiring evening was reflected upon during a convivial networking aperitif. At the same time, technical discussions with innovative companies were held at ID: Zug (Innovation Desk: Zug).
