The Zug Young Entrepreneur Award celebrated its 20th anniversary with an impressive event full of fresh business ideas. Almost 300 guests came together in the Steinhausen community hall to celebrate young entrepreneurship and honor the best young companies in the region. Eight up-and-coming companies from a wide range of sectors presented their exciting business models to an enthusiastic audience, which also acted as a jury. Each company had exactly three minutes to present its idea before answering questions from a panel of experts. The tension was palpable when the voting began - and the decision was anything but easy! After an exciting competition, Microqubic AG emerged as the winner and can proudly call itself “Zug Young Enterprise 2025”. In addition to the recognition, the company received prize money of CHF 5,000. Second place went to Alligator AG, which won CHF 2,000, while Swiss EcoNaturals AG took home third place and CHF 1,000.

A special highlight was the appearance of around 25 former young companies from the 20 years of the Zug Young Entrepreneur Award. In a witty question and answer session, the audience were given an insight into what has become of the former young companies and were also able to empathize with young entrepreneurship themselves in a survey at the end.

The anniversary event also provided an excellent opportunity for networking: at the subsequent drinks reception, guests were able to talk to all the 2025 candidates and former young companies about their business ideas and make valuable contacts. The festive atmosphere was palpable throughout the evening. This successful event was made possible by the generous support of the sponsors and partners: “tfz Enabler” Zuger Kantonalbank AG, WWZ AG, Siemens Schweiz AG, the municipality of Steinhausen, Businesspark Zug, the canton of Zug, Parkhotel Zug and the resource sponsors Hegglin Group AG and Immensive SA.

The anniversary event of the Zug Young Entrepreneur Award was once again preceded by the “Zug Start-up Day” - a popular platform for budding young entrepreneurs, which was fully booked out again this year. The entire day was once again dedicated to young companies in Zug as a business location.
