Beyond Traditional Computing

Application.

Only ten places. Curated by the Technologie Forum Zug. Applications open until 13 November 2026.

Your Shortcut to the next level.

Ten hand-picked start-ups will meet around 200 decision-makers from the business elite: international companies, specialist SMEs, research organisations and, for the first time, investors. In the space of a morning, you’ll gain what will really help you move forward: pilot projects, honest expert advice and access to funding.

This is for you if…

  • your start-up operates in the ‘Beyond Traditional Computing’ sector (quantum, neuromorphic, photonic, spatial computing, high-performance computing, autonomous AI).
  • you have something to show for it: at least one working prototype or an initial application.
  • you know what you’re looking for: a pilot client, a technology partner, capital or access to a market.
  • you want to speak with industry experts in curated Collaboration Talks.
  • you want to be matched with investors based on your needs.
  • you want to meet C-level executives, R&D leads, innovation managers and many more, based on your needs.

Three things you’ll take home with you

Based on your needs, we’ll match you with the expertise of our on-site specialists. You can also select specific C-level meetings to suit your preferences and let us know which zfz member you’d like to speak to in person. We’ll take care of the rest. All meetings take place on-site in 15-minute slots. We’ll provide you with any further compatible matches in the form of an ‘offsite ticket’.

Pilot projects

You’ll be speaking directly with the heads of innovation at international companies and specialist SMEs.

Feedback from professionals

Direct and curated access to suitable experts who can assess your technology.

Access to finance

If the stage and focus are right, we’ll match you with suitable investors.

It was only after joining us that it really took off.

Sevensense Robotics, here in 2022

Gives mobile robots ‘eyes’: using cameras and AI, they can find their way around warehouses and factories independently. Now acquired by ABB.

CUTISS, here in 2019

Grows new skin from a small skin sample for people with severe burns. Has raised over CHF 125 million.

Nanoflex Robotics, here in 2024

Microrobots are being guided through blood vessels using a magnetic field, enabling specialists to treat a stroke remotely. EUR 12.5 million from the EIC.

and many more...

The tfz’s curation process identifies potential at an early stage. Of the 48 start-ups selected to date, only 6 per cent have performed poorly. All the other start-ups have achieved considerable success. This is partly thanks to the opportunities provided by Start-Up Insights.

Once you're there, you'll meet...

... around 200 guests: from SMEs and international companies, as well as from the research sector, universities, public authorities and, for the first time, investors. In key roles: C-level executives and senior management, innovation and R&D, technology experts, and business development.

Here’s how it works: from application to the stage

  1. Apply: Fill in the form by 13 November 2026. It won’t take more than 15 minutes.

  2. We’ll decide: After 13 November, we’ll select the ten start-ups. You’ll be notified whether you’ve made the cut or not.

  3. You’re in: We’ll organise your meetings and match you with the right experts, investors, C-level executives and tfz members. On 27 January 2027, you’ll be on stage.
